ABOUT US:

We are an Irish company, based in Co. Mayo; which is at the heart of Ireland’s most famous game fishing. All of our flies are made to catch the fish and not the fisherman.
They are designed by fishermen, with years and years of hands on experience, of both trout and salmon fishing, in all types of conditions; from early spring to late autumn.
Our flies are all handtied using the best quality (natural; where possible) materials available.
Salmon flies are tied on esmund drury v.m.c. trebles.

When you go fly fishing for trout, you have to choose flies tied; so that they closely represent the fish's natural food of that time, but with something a little bit extra that makes the trout go for it, instead of the natural one. This is achieved both through colour and more importantly shape. This is why, often; rough tied flies, although they might not look the prettiest are the most effective. A lot is to do with the way the fly moves in the water and the whey it creates. It is years of research into this that give our flies the edge over all others!
